Parent & Guardian Responsibilities

Supporting Your Child’s Growth & Group Success

Lady Mindful Mavericks is a program designed to nurture self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and strong peer relationships in a fun, supportive setting. As a parent or guardian, your partnership plays a key role in making this experience safe, enriching, and transformative for your child.

📌 1. Communication & Participation

  • Stay informed: Read all group communication, including emails, texts, and handouts.

  • Respond promptly to any requests for forms, permissions, or schedule updates.

  • Keep us updated if your contact information changes during the program.

📝 2. Paperwork & Permissions

  • Submit all required waivers, medical forms, and emergency contact info by the stated deadlines.

  • Complete any special instructions regarding allergies, medications, or behavioral needs.

  • Ensure your child’s insurance is current and accepted (Aetna, BCBS, Cigna, United Healthcare or Medicaid).

🕘 3. Timely Drop-Off & Pick-Up

  • Arrive on time for both drop-off and pick-up each session and trip day.

  • If someone other than the listed guardian is picking up your child, please provide written permission in advance.

  • Notify us immediately if you will be late for any reason.

🎒 4. Preparing Your Child

  • Review the "What to Bring" checklist each week with your child.

  • Ensure your child has packed a lunch/snack, water bottle, and any required materials.

  • Talk to your child about being respectful, open, and safe in the group setting.

🤝 5. Support Outside of Group

  • Encourage your child to reflect on what they’ve learned after each session.

  • Support healthy habits at home by promoting open conversations, self-care, and emotional awareness.

  • Reach out to the group facilitator if your child is struggling or needs additional support.

🧠 6. Respect the Process

  • Understand that growth takes time and may show up in small or subtle ways.

  • Trust that your child is learning important life skills even if they don’t share everything right away.

  • Be patient, affirming, and consistent as your child develops greater self-awareness and confidence.
